Frequently asked questions

What vaccinations does my cat need?

• Your cat must be fully vaccinated against cat flu(feline calicvirus and feline herpesvirus) and infectious enteritis(feline panleucopaenia virus) NO LESS than 10 days prior to arrival at Deloraine.

You must bring a current vaccination certificate with your cat. (NO CERTIFICATE NO STAY)

• Male cats older than 6 months must be neutered.

• Your cat must be treated for fleas and worms 2 weeks prior.
These requirements are to protect all our guests

What happens if my cat gets sick?

• If your cat gets sick while staying with us, A vet will be contacted immediately. Any vet charges will be added to your final bill.


What about Kittens or timid cats?

• Our private suites are purrfect for kittens and timid cats. (Kittens also need to be vaccinated)

What do you feed the cats and how often?

• At the Deloraine Cats are fed twice daily, morning and night, we feed Royal Canin premium cat food or for the more fussy felines we have a selection other foods.If how ever you wish to provide your own food you are more than welcome.


Do cats fight in catteries?

• Because cats are territorial animals and a cattery is neutral territory,NO they do not fight. We closely monitor all guests staying in our cattery to ensure they are settling in and there are no issues or stress.

 

What do I need to bring for my cats stay?

• Please bring your cat in a carry cage or box; we will store this for you if you wish.

• Bring your cats blanket and any medication or special diet requirements – sufficient amounts for your cats stay.

• It is important we have your contact details and an alternative emergency name and number.

 

Please don’t forget to bring a current vaccination certificate for your cat.
